Overview

Headquarted in Dallas, Texas, Regency is a midstream gas gathering, contract compression, treating, processing and transmission company with core operations located in Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Regency owns approximately 8,000 miles of gas gathering pipeline and 877,000 horsepower of compression in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas, a 320-mile intrastate pipeline in North Louisiana, and 10 active processing and treating plants, with a combined throughput of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day. Its customers include major and independent southwestern gas producers.

Regency’s pipelines and processing plants connect to a large network of 15 intrastate and interstate pipelines. The intrastate and interstate pipelines connected to Regency’s system include CIG, PEPL, ANR, NGPL, NNG, TGT, MRT, Oasis, TUFCO, Lone star, Transwestern, ONEOK, El Paso, Sonat and Tennessee. The multiple connections to intrastate and interstate pipelines provide Regency with a comprehensive network and the flexibility to receive the greatest possible price for natural gas in the system.

Regency’s contract compression services focus on meeting the complex requirements of field-wide compression applications, which include compression for natural gas gathering, natural gas lift for crude oil production and natural gas processing.

Regency was formed in May 2003 to exploit market opportunities in the midstream sector. The Company’s current operating assets were assembled through the following acquisitions:

  • Regency’s acquisition of the North Louisiana and Mid-Continent  Assets from El Paso field services in June 2003
  • Regency’s acquisition of the Waha gas gathering system and processing facility from Duke Energy Field Services in March 2004
  • The third Regency acquisition expanded Regency’s footprint into East and South Texas and was completed in August 2006
  • The acquisition of FrontStreet from ASC (an affiliate of GECC) and EnergyOne in January 2008
  • The acquisition of CDM Resource management in January 2008
